Marian Arbesman, PhD, OTR/L
President

Dr. Marian Arbesman blends her experience as an occupational therapist and an epidemiologist together with her work in creativity to research and develop new innovative solutions in healthcare. In addition to consulting on a variety of evidence-based practice projects, Marian has worked on the development of resources to increase innovation in medicine and health care. Numerous organizations have also had Marian improve their ability to solve problems creatively. She has a Graduate Certificate from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College where she has been an instructor.

Dr. Arbesman has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the Department of Rehabilitation Science in the School of Public Health and Health Professions at the University at Buffalo, and has been involved in research in the areas of evidence-based practice, creativity of eminent scientists, the creative styles of occupational therapy students, and play environments of children with disabilities. Dr. Arbesman has
published in a variety of journals, including the American Journal of Occupational Therapy, Journal of Nursing Administration and the Journal of Neurosurgery, and has co-authored occupational therapy practice guidelines in a variety of areas related to children and older adults.

Harvey Arbesman, MD, MS
Vice President

Dr. Harvey Arbesman is a physician and an epidemiologist. He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and also has a certificate in Facilitating Creative Problem Solving from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College. Dr. Arbesman combines his medical background with a passion for new ideas to develop new medical hypotheses and innovative solutions to life sciences-related challenges.

He has
published in various medical journals including the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Medical Hypotheses. Dr. Arbesman is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine in the School of Public Health and Health Professions at the University at Buffalo.
